PCV Coach Driver & Driver Guide Positions

We have a variety of work to suit all levels of experience, especially for someone eager to develop their skills and knowledge. Although coaching experience is preferred, it is not essential and to the right candidate with a positive attitude, then we would welcome you as part of our team.*Drivers must have a valid PCV License, Driver Qualification Card & Digital Tachograph*The ideal candidate:

PCV (Heavy Vehicle) Mechanic

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within the group for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in our busy workshop in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will be a valuable member of out team and have the following relevant experience:

  • Fault finding, and carrying out repairs
  • Undertaking Vehicle maintenance, servicing and running repairs on a varied fleet
  • M.O.T preparation
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company Operators Licence guidelines
  • Ensure all repairs to company vehicles are carried out in a timely manner
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Fault Diagnostics
  • Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard
  • The ability to work to the highest Health & Safety standards

In order to be considered for this role, applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Previous experience of working on commercial vehicles such as Volvo, Scania, Mercedes
  • PCV licence preferred but not essential (prepared to go through test)
  • Have proven Diagnostic skills and Electrical experience
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as a HGV or PSV Technician / Mechanic
  • Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles to DVSA standard
  • Ability to actively seek solutions to problems
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks
